IDA 9.5.261026
Welcome to the IDA 9.5 release highlights. You can get your 9.5 installers in the Download Center of My Hex-Rays portal.
The marquee features: the new Dalvik, TriCore and Hexagon decompilers, decompiler bitfield support, a much stronger
AVX/SSE pipeline, the Apple kernelcache loader, verbatim names, FLIRT 2.0, smarter switch-case recovery, and
recursive "Create C file" export.
Higher-Level Language Support
Loading Go binaries with corrupt or obfuscated metadata, and the Rust ABI extended to ARM[64], MIPS, PPC and RISC-V.
Decompiler
Jump to function-pointer targets, register-variable splitting, scattered pairs, better x87 handling, stripped-Swift
recovery, and many output-quality improvements.
Disassembler
Register values tracked across loops, ARC/Hexagon/MIPS R6 work, more Armv9 extensions, broad game-console support
(PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PSP), and a new WebAssembly loader and disassembler.
Analysis & Kernel
Correct exception-handling stack levels, robust try blocks, and guards against pathological binaries.
Loaders
A new UEFI plugin and loader that read whole firmware images and make known protocol calls decompile to readable
code, plus transparent zstd decompression, VDEX and DEX 040 support, and expanded Mach-O kernelcache handling.
Type System
Clang is the new default parser, with version-matched XNU type libraries for Apple Silicon macOS kernels.
Debug Info, Demangling and Exception Handling
Swift 6 demangling, better DWARF and PDB handling, and Rust type recovery.
UI & UX
Qt 6.12 LTS, a new HTML listing renderer, a tightly-linked Pathfinder and Xref graph, and a reworked quick filter.
Debuggers
A remote debug server hardened against a malformed client request that could crash it.
FLIRT & FLAIR
FLIRT 2.0 signatures, byte-range patterns, and refreshed MSVC runtime coverage.
Performance & Resource Consumption
Less memory and fewer stalls on large binaries: DWARF, dyld shared caches, RTTI and the decompiler.
Configuration, IDAPython, SDK & API
Installation manifests for every extension kind, plus new listing-export, class, license-inspection and
synthetic-string APIs.
