Secure Soft P7S Viewer (commonly known simply as P7S Viewer) is a software tool specialized in viewing, validating, and extracting content from files with the .p7s extension. These files are digitally signed containers based on the PKCS #7 cryptographic standard; they are frequently used in encrypted emails (S/MIME) and official documents within the government or banking sectors to ensure the authenticity and integrity of the information.
Since operating systems like Windows cannot natively interpret the encryption structure of these files, this application serves as a bridge, allowing them to be easily interpreted without altering the electronic signature.
Key Features
• Digital signature viewing: Allows for detailed inspection of digital certificate information, including the issuer's identity, the signer, the certification authority, and the exact date and time of the signature.
• Embedded file extraction: Can extract the original attached document hidden within the .p7s container, allowing it to be exported to common formats—such as PDF, XML, images, or text documents—without corruption.
• Integrity validation: Verifies whether the file or email was modified, edited, or altered during transmission since it was originally signed.
• Simple, lightweight operation: Features an intuitive interface that does not require advanced technical knowledge of cryptography or cybersecurity to operate.
• Email client independence: Allows signed attachments to be opened externally—useful if your standard email client (such as older versions or web-based clients lacking S/MIME support) cannot process cryptographic signatures.
